What is Restaurant Week?

Arizona Restaurant Week offers more than a glimpse of the best eateries in Phoenix. Eating establishments participating in this promotion, hosted by the Arizona Restaurant Association, provide diners at a fixed price of $33 or $44 and offer a 3-course meal from their special Restaurant Week menu. It’s a fabulous opportunity for you to try out new flavors at some pretty snazzy spots without spending a small fortune. The week highlights offerings from steak houses, Japanese cuisine, gastro pubs, fine Italian eateries, and a plethora of fusion spots. It is an opportunity to give your taste buds something serious to talk about.

When is Restaurant Week?

Because the world is always on the move, this gustatory celebration occurs twice a year, a week in May and a second opportunity September 20 to 29, 2019. Each participating spot sets their own days and hours when the special menu is offered. No coupon is necessary. Beverages are often not included with the meal. Reservations are recommended as the specials are extremely popular.

What Locations are Participating in Restaurant Week?

If you have a favorite place, it is probably part of this scrumptious opportunity. There is literally an A to Z list of restaurants signed up for the fun. Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar will open their doors for the promotion at their Chandler, Scottsdale, and other area locations. The Keg Steakhouse & Bar will be filling plates at the Tempe Marketplace. Other highlights include The Dhaba, The Mission, The VIG, and Urban Margarita. Sample a bento box at Nobuo At Teeter House, dig into some enchiladas at the Ghost Ranch, or nibble the buttermilk buns at Mowry & Cotton. The possibilities tease you to try another place as you savor bite after bite.

What is on the Menu?

The prix-fixe style of dining only guarantees the price of the meal. Each chef at each location selects a specific collection of dishes to be offered for the week. You may receive a salad, steak, and soup at one place or chips, tacos, and fried ice cream at another. Chefs will often create unique small plates just for the week, treating you to the greatest variety of their standard fare to entice you to return at a later date. Finalized menus are available one to two weeks before the start of the promotion, so check the Restaurant Week website for details before you reserve your table. If you are not dazzled by the $33 or $44 meal, you may still order off the regular menu at regular prices.
